Can be used on the go
Note that the application is built to function on Java Runtime Environment so you need to make sure that it is installed on the computer you plan to use it on. On the other hand, the program itself doesn’t need to be installed to run, so you can just as well deploy it on a thumb drive to use on the go.
The application throws you directly into the simulation right on launch. There are two modes of operations which are accessed from individual tabs, namely RGB and single bulb. While the first is only fitted with simulation controls, such as stopping and running the simulation one step at a time, the second section lets you specify the bulb type and beam view.

As far as the RGB bulbs section is concerned, it exemplifies how the three main colors, namely red, green, and blue are combined to form everything else. Each comes with its own slider to adjust intensity, which in return displays a color updating in real time as the new beams reach the destination. Sadly, corresponding RGB values are not displayed.
The single bulb mode only focuses a beam of light to a source. The simulation here can be done by adjusting either the color of the lens filter, or for the lens and bulb. Additionally, the lens can be turned off to focus the beam alone.

The KEYMACRO App (Key Macro Editor) allows you to assign a sequence of keystrokes to a macro, which you can then create and store using a built-in macro editor or import a macro from an external file.
Currently, the app can work with Windows (x86 and x64) and Mac OS X platforms. The current version supports both of them natively. You can also compile the app for Linux or use an online service that offers Linux compilation for a fee. The application can create two kinds of macros. The first is a macro which can be recorded, a.k.a. named and saved to the app’s library, where you can re-use it as many times as you want. The other is a hotkey which can be assigned to any key combination.
You can create macros from the “Macros” tab. The application offers the option to select either the default built-in macro editor or import a macro from an external file (you’ll find the option right under the “New macro” tab).
You can either assign or import macros using the “Macro manager” tab. The application is not case sensitive, so it automatically recognizes the different variants of a character. It can work with any number of hotkeys and can be saved to the app’s library. You can easily import/create new hotkeys from an external file.
The final piece of the puzzle is the “Screen” tab. You can use the “Screen recorder” option to record the actions of the mouse and keyboard on screen as a movie clip. You can either use the default built-in screen recorder or import the file from the Mac or Windows clipboard. Note that you can only record one instance of the mouse and keyboard at a time.
Using the “hotkeys” tab, you can create custom hotkeys for the app. They’re grouped according to the operating system.
